About Pre-Rolls & Chillums

Ready to light

The same flower from our jars, ground and rolled — real named strains, not the anonymous shake-and-trim mix that fills most of the pre-roll market. Pre-rolls are the zero-effort way into our strains, and chillums are the zero-effort way to smoke loose flower. Every pre-roll's flower carries the batch certificate of analysis like everything else we sell.

Why most pre-rolls disappoint, and why these don't

The industry's open secret is that pre-rolls are where leftover trim goes to die. Trim, shake, the sweepings, whatever didn't look good enough to photograph — ground fine enough that nobody can tell, rolled, and sold at a margin. It's why most pre-rolls burn harsh, taste of nothing and run down one side.

Our house rule works the other way round: if flower isn't worthy of a jar, it doesn't go in a jar — it goes into pre-rolls. That's still our own indoor flower from the same rooms and the same fourteen-day cold dry, just flower that didn't present perfectly. The chemistry and the terpenes are the same; only the photograph would have been worse. Rolling real top-shelf flower costs more and we do it anyway, because a pre-roll is most people's first taste of a brand, and a first taste of ours should taste like ours.

What a chillum is, and why pre-packed ones make sense

A chillum is the simplest piece of smoking kit there is: a small straight pipe, open at both ends, that you pack with a pinch of flower and light. No bowl to clean out between hits, no rolling, no papers, nothing to assemble. Used across the Indian subcontinent for centuries and still the most efficient way to taste a small amount of flower.

Pre-packed chillums take even that step away — they arrive loaded, so they're the easiest possible way to try a strain without committing to an eighth of it. They're also the sensible thing to have in a bag: discreet, glass, nothing to spill, and no rolling in the wind.

Getting a clean burn

Don't crush it. Over-grinding packs the flower too tight and the joint pulls hard and burns hot.

Toast the end. Rotate the tip in the flame for a couple of seconds before you draw properly — it lights evenly and stops it running down one side.

Draw gently. Hard pulls on good flower waste terpenes and overheat the whole thing.

Keep it sealed. A dried-out pre-roll smokes harsh. In its tube or an airtight jar, cool and dark, same as flower.

Pre-rolls FAQ

What's inside the pre-rolls?

Real flower from named strains — the listing tells you which strain and which type, and its COA shows the numbers. Not trim, not shake, not a mystery blend.

Is it the same flower that's in your jars?

It's from the same rooms, the same harvests and the same process. Flower we don't consider worthy of a jar goes here rather than being sold as top shelf — same chemistry, less perfect structure.

What's a chillum?

A small straight pipe — the simplest piece of kit in smoking. Pack it with a pinch of flower, light it, done. Perfect for sampling strains without rolling anything.

What does "pre-packed" mean?

The chillum arrives already loaded with flower, so there's nothing to grind or pack. It's the lowest-effort way to try a strain.

Will a THCa pre-roll show on a drug test?

Yes. CBD pre-rolls carry trace THC too — if you're tested, skip all of it.

How should I store them?

In their tube or an airtight jar, cool and dark. A dried-out pre-roll smokes harsh.

Which strains come as pre-rolls?

It rotates with what's come off the harvest cycle, and collaboration pre-rolls appear too. Each listing names the strain.
