About Carts
510-thread carts, filled with our own extract
These carts carry the same live extracts as our pens — made from Flow Gardens flower frozen fresh at harvest — in a standard 510 thread that fits the battery you already own. Strain-specific, full-spectrum, lab tested with a certificate of analysis per batch. No bulk distillate bought by the liter, and no added flavorings pretending to be terpenes.
If you already own a battery, a cart is the cheaper route to the same oil that fills our disposable pens, and it gives you something a disposable can't: control over the voltage.
Rosin carts and resin carts
Which extract is inside is stated on every listing, and it's the difference you'll taste.
Live resin carts are solvent-extracted from fresh-frozen flower, with residual solvents purged and verified on the lab report. Loud, strain-true flavor at a sensible price. This is the bulk of what we fill.
Rosin and hash rosin carts are solventless — ice-water hash, pressed, nothing else. They're rarer, they're priced accordingly, and they're what to buy if flavor is the only thing you care about. Drops are small because the extract itself is made in small quantities.
Either way the starting material is the same indoor craft flower that has taken twelve competition podiums in five years, frozen within hours of being cut.
Dial in your battery — this matters more than people think
Live extract rewards low power, and most people run their batteries far too hot.
Set your battery to its lowest comfortable setting — roughly the 2.5–3.2V range on most variable units, or the lowest of three color settings on a basic one — and take short draws. High heat vaporizes the cannabinoids perfectly well and burns straight through the terpene profile on the way, which is the entire reason to buy a live cart instead of a distillate one. If your cart tastes burnt or peppery, turn it down before you blame the oil.
A 510 battery with voltage control costs very little and will noticeably improve every cart you ever buy.
Getting a full cart's worth
Store it upright, cool and dark. Horizontal storage is how oil migrates into places it shouldn't be, and heat thins it enough to leak.
Prime it before the first pull. Two or three draws without firing the battery pull oil into the wick and prevent the dry hit that kills coils.
If it's sluggish, warm it. Thick live extract moves slowly when cold. Hold it in your hand for a few minutes rather than cranking the voltage up.
Don't chain-pull. Give the coil a few seconds between draws and both the flavor and the hardware last longer.
Why a cart is the cheapest route to good extract
A disposable bundles a battery into the price every single time you buy one, and then you throw the battery away. A cart separates the two: buy the battery once, buy extract thereafter. If you vape regularly, that difference adds up quickly, and it's why most people who stay with concentrates end up on carts.
You also get something a disposable can't give you — control. Temperature is the single biggest variable in how an extract tastes, and a cart plus a variable battery puts that in your hands instead of the manufacturer's.
Choosing a battery
You don't need to spend much, but three features are worth having.
Variable voltage. The whole point. Something that lets you sit around 2.5–3.2V for live extract rather than one fixed, usually too-hot setting.
A preheat function. A short low-power burst that warms thick extract before you draw. On live rosin carts this is the difference between a smooth first pull and a clogged one.
USB-C and a decent cell. Convenience, and it means you'll actually keep it charged.
What to avoid: the cheapest pen-style batteries with a single fixed high output. They'll vaporize good extract perfectly well and make it taste of nothing in particular.
Carts FAQ
Will these fit my battery?
Yes, if it's a standard 510 thread — the near-universal standard for vape batteries. If you bought your battery from a vape shop in the last decade, it's 510.
What voltage should I run?
Low. Around 2.5–3.2V on a variable battery, or the lowest setting on a three-color one. Live extract is all about terpenes and terpenes are the first thing high heat destroys.
Rosin cart or resin cart?
Resin for flavor per dollar, rosin for the solventless peak. Both come from our own fresh-frozen flower; rosin yields far less, which is the whole reason for the price gap.
Cart or disposable pen?
Carts if you own a battery — cheaper per gram and you control the voltage. Pens if you want the all-in-one with the battery built in and nothing to assemble.
The cart hits weakly or seems blocked — what now?
Thick live extract clogs more easily than distillate, especially cold. Warm it in your hand, take a couple of unfired primer puffs, and store it upright between uses.
Will a THCa cart show on a drug test?
Yes — treat it exactly like cannabis.
How do I store a cart?
Upright, cool, dark. Don't leave it in a hot car — heat thins the oil and causes leaks.
Where are the lab results?
Every batch's COA is published in the COA library and linked from the listing, including residual solvent results on the resin carts.
What battery should I buy?
Any 510 battery with variable voltage and preferably a preheat setting. You don't need to spend much — you just need to be able to run it low.
Why has my cart gone darker since I bought it?
Normal oxidation, accelerated by heat and light. It affects appearance far more than it affects the experience. Storing it cool, dark and upright slows it down.
How long does a cart last?
Depends entirely on draw length and how often, but running it at low voltage with short draws stretches a cart considerably — and it's also how it tastes best, which is a happy coincidence.
Can I use these on a vape mod?
Only if it's set up for 510 cartridges at low wattage. A sub-ohm mod built for e-liquid will destroy a concentrate cart and taste appalling in the process.
