Papaya x gushers
The flower itself—like the rest of the order—lands somewhere in the upper-mid tier. But despite being labeled as “small batch,” it’s honestly more trouble than it’s worth. And if this is their top-shelf tier, the ceiling clearly isn’t as high as they market it to be. The biggest issue by far is the presence of microseeds. Every single strain in my order—totaling over a half ounce—was riddled with them. Not a single nug was spared. This severely impacts the experience in multiple ways. For one, microseeded bud simply isn’t at peak quality. If this many seeds have formed, it means the flower was already compromised during cultivation. And once you’ve got this level of pollination, you're left with a product that can’t show its full potential. Worse, the microseeds make it borderline un-smokable without excessive hand-processing. Grinders are basically useless unless you want to risk breaking up seeds and ruining the entire grind with harsh, bitter flavors and unwanted seed particles. To avoid that, you're stuck manually breaking everything down, carefully picking out seeds—which not only kills the vibe but also results in over-handling, degrading both potency and terpene profile. And after all that effort, the smoke itself just doesn’t deliver much more than your average mids. The few saving graces? The delivery was quick, moisture content was dialed in well, and there is a decent amount of resin present. That’s notable in a market where many buds are dry, overly muted, or totally lacking in trichome coverage. So in that sense, I can say they’re at least doing better than a lot of what I’ve come across locally. But unless you’re in a market that’s completely overrun with low-tier product (like parts of the Southeast or Midwest), or unless you're completely starved for anything with a hint of quality, I can’t recommend this—especially not at their small batch price point. If you’re in a place like New York, where decent options are fairly accessible, this probably won’t impress you.
