Description

Durban Poison is a renowned sativa strain celebrated for its uplifting effects. Originating from South Africa, it features a sweet and spicy flavor profile with anise undertones, and its aroma is characterized by earthiness and hints of citrus. The strain's energetic high and mood-enhancing properties make it a favorite among cannabis enthusiasts. The breeder of the original Durban Poison is not widely documented due to its landrace origins. This pure sativa strain has a rich lineage dating back to South African cannabis varieties, contributing to its unique and sought-after characteristics.

    DP

Good sativa not too racey for me. I thought it smelled like gas/kerosene on a rag mixed with lake mud. I'm not so sure that's accurate but it's excellent flower in my opinion.

There was a chemical smell like nail polish remover. The effect felt uplifted and alerted.

    Durban Poison

This is one great flower with a very potent high, not for beginners. It is a flower that delivers a very mental high and lasts a long time. The come down is very relaxing, and you will float into a state of pure bliss. The buds I got were very sticky, and tasted fresh. Overall, it's one of the best Sativa's. A five-star strain.

Excellent sativa with some density (for sativa) to get you up beat, creative and high.

    Best Durban Yet

Posted by Will W. on Jan 9th 2024

As a writer, I’m always looking at the typical strains: Jack Herer, Green Crack, Hulk, and of course Durban Poison. Compared to other variations from other vendors, I found this batch of DP to be highly effective. It gets the mind going creatively, even if it’s not exactly energizing. It allows a certain barrier for thoughts to be stripped away, helping with writers block. If I could buy more I would absolutely do it because it’s a phenomenal strain for those needing to use their brain rather than wanting to relax and turn it off.

    Unique

One of the most interesting things about this flower is the unique smell and taste. The smell is a very strong mix of citrus and pepper, and the taste is quite similar as well. This strain is often referred to as "the espresso of cannabis", and that rings particularly true here. Expect high amounts of clear headed energy, creativity, and general mental uplifting. Great for managing depression, stress, or anxiety. Not so great for stimulating the appetite, physical relaxation, or pain relief.

    Quite good

Great cut with barely any stems or leaves. Came moist and fresh. Smells and tastes like a good Sour Brulee with fuller flavor
