This strain has a sedative quality to it. It has that feel good vibe that puts you at ease. Perfect for unwinding after a stressful day. I found myself falling asleep rather quickly with this one. It definitely leans heavily towards Indica. If you have trouble falling asleep or need something to relax in the evenings, this is perfect.
This is a standout from what I’ve tried out of the last 2-3 months of drops. The aroma is this extremely earthy, permanent marker heavy which may throw some people off. It’s extremely refreshing to have a strain that mirrors if not improves on the smell when it comes to taste, the perm marker is a very overwhelming base of the inhale with a sweet front end note not quite as “maple” as a strain like flapjacks but none the less helps smooth out the overall hit Not like the hit needs it, the cure is incredibly smooth on the lungs. Soft dense nugs that are covered in trichs, every bud was in the .07-2.5 range with more buds over 1.2g+ min than not. The ash is one of the only 95% white ashs bud I’ve had from flow in a long time Overall extremely pleased I will always grab this whoever it drops
This is one of my favorites from FG. I have multiple chronic illnesses, so I prefer stronger strains. I highly recommend this strain for anyone with chronic pains and for sleep. Smell, looks and overall experience for myself - 5/5 stars. Please keep this one around.
The cbg content really helps my overly sensitive stomach. Do I care for floral towel dryer sheets terps, no, yet if you roll a skinny joint of the black maple you'll also get berry slightly purple tasting terps in the background. Other famous cultivars like gmo that lead to fats have the same terp profile and its strong just a very disassociate type of high that creeps up on you. Negatives might be lack of visual frost, lots of small heads mixed into a dense cookies style bud and an almost white tint, yet has more to with natural lipids and high thca content. I recommend this to people needing sedation and stomach relief not for getting stuff done for that would be fighting the lethargic strong effects, let Black Maple grab the steering wheel to your brain otherwise it could cause anxiety trying to fight it. Worthwhile flower i all respects, moist but not wet, burns slow and smooth.
